By Jude

By Jude is a short film by Angela Chen. It is about a young step-mother and a teenage daughter's relationship that unfolds as Jude, the younger brother, films the day's happening for his always absent father.

By Jude was played at the U.Frame Film Festival in Spain, and will be played at the Austin Film Festival.

Pecan Street Festival


The Pecan Street Festival is a biannual event in Austin, Texas located on Old Pecan Street, now known as 6th Street. It's a festival dedicated to the arts, including music and art by vendors. There's a large variety of types of art, including sculptures, paintings, shirts, jewelry, etc...


Special Events Management Group, LLC is the group behind the Pecan Street Festival, in which I had the pleasure of interning with for the past few months.

Mobile Film School


Mobile Film School is a non-profit organization located in Austin, Texas dedicated to providing services to undeserved communities interested in the film arts. MFS hosts a workshop for these communities and includes the equipment necessary to make these films/documentaries.

T-shirts


The shirt on the left is the most recent TASA t-shirt (2010-2011), the one on the right is the 2008-2009 t-shirt. Every year, TASA gives out free t-shirts to all its members for those interested in showing their dedication to TASA.

Logos



Kaneshiro Bakery is a fictional bakery for a short film by Angela Chen titled "Mr. Cupcakes." MR. CUPCAKES is a stylish and unique comedy with a serious heart. David is a famous baker; his only problem is that he hasn't baked anything in his whole life. Would he be able to stand against everyone at the ultimate Bakeoff, in order to save the person he loves? Mr. Cupcakes uses the point of view of an all American 'hero' to explore the different layers of the dysfunctional relationship of an Asian father and his 'useless' Asian- American daughter.

Inter-American Institute for Youth Justice is a resource center under the School of Social Work at The University of Texas at Austin. They serve to find creative, innovative ways to improve the effectiveness of policies, social and academic programs, and community-based initiatives for court-involved.

TASA's Charity Poker Tournament was an event to raise money for SAHELI, which is a non-profit organization providing assistance to Asian women seeking help in dealing with domestic violence and abuse.
